Singapore, July 11 – The "Chongming Ecological Island · Agri-Tech Hub Investment Promotion Conference (Singapore Session)", hosted by Shanghai Chongming Modern Agriculture Development Group (CMC Agri-Dev Group) and co-organized by Zebrafish Capital, was successfully held. Attendees included representatives from Enterprise Singapore, numerous agricultural research institutions, innovative enterprises, and delegates from neighboring countries like the Philippines and Malaysia specializing in agri-tech, food manufacturing, industrial park development, and investment. Discussions centered on themes such as green food exports, agri-tech validation, and overseas market connectivity.
This event follows the International Agricultural Innovation Summit held by Zebrafish Capital in Shanghai this past April, where overseas guests conducted field visits to the core area of the Chongming Agri-Tech Hub. These visits left a strong impression of Chongming's layout in green agriculture and food technology. The trip to Singapore represents a concrete step by CMC Agri-Dev Group to respond to international cooperation interests and advance tangible outcomes.

Two-Way Exchange: Linking Agri-Tech and Market Resources
At the promotion conference, Xiao Lifeng, General Manager of CMC Agri-Dev Group, systematically introduced the spatial layout and industrial direction of the Chongming Ecological Island and the Agri-Tech Hub. He expressed the Group's willingness to co-build agri-tech demonstration projects, export processing bases, and food certification platforms with overseas partners.

Hu Baiqing, Chairman of Huajing Silicon Valley (Shanghai) Agricultural Development Co., Ltd., also introduced their newly established agricultural development fund aimed at promoting innovation and enterprise growth in the agricultural sector.

Zebrafish Capital shared its experience in cross-border resource advantages, market entry support, and technology transfer services.
Representatives from Singapore's agri-food tech sector presented several practical case studies with demonstration potential:
James Yin, Managing Director of V-plus Agritech, introduced their technological explorations in regional food security systems.

Vincent Wei, Co-founder of Archisen, shared experiences in enhancing food security resilience for Malaysia and Singapore.

Representatives from university agricultural research platforms proposed collaborations in areas like controlled environment agriculture, aquaculture, and agricultural digitalization.
These presentations provided first-hand experience references for attendees and offered valuable models for Chongming's future external cooperation and joint R&D.
Field Visits: Connecting Diverse Cooperation Directions
To complement the conference, Zebrafish Capital organized a series of field visits for the delegation from July 9th to 11th, facilitating in-depth engagement with Singaporean agricultural innovation platforms and institutions, including:
Republic Polytechnic: Discussions centered on sustainable agricultural facility design, joint talent cultivation, and agri technology research.

Nurasa Innovation Platform: Focused exploration of "lab-to-market" food certification mechanisms, functional food incubation, and international market access models.

Some companies have already indicated plans to advance company set up registration procedures, moving into the site selection and joint planning phase.
Advancing International Cooperation with a Pragmatic Approach
CMC Agri-Dev Group has consistently explored new pathways in industrial investment attraction, park development, and brand globalization in recent years. Its team demonstrated strong execution capabilities and professionalism, leaving a positive impression on international partners. As a collaborative platform, Zebrafish Capital will continue to assist Chongming in conducting field matching, driving concrete implementation of international cooperation projects focused on food tech validation, joint export base development, and project execution.
From Shanghai to Singapore, engaging both government and private companies, this series of activities not only deepened mutual understanding but also expanded Chongming Agriculture's pathways for international cooperation. As more practical exchanges continue, the two-way interaction and integration of "going global" (outbound) and "bringing in" (inbound) will become a crucial pillar for the development and industrial upgrading of local agriculture in China.
